Biography

Hugo Schwarze

Born July 3rd 2006 in Cologne, Germany

Growing up, I spent lots of time at race tracks with my father. When I had to give up field hockey due to an injury, I started with Sim Racing. At the end of 2021 I was given the opportunity to drive a race kart. I was fast from the very beginning, so I ended up joining a professional kart team where I made my first steps into real racing.

Just one year later I took on my first car racing season where I was able to prove what I am capable of by becoming Vice-Champion in the highly competitive Ginetta Junior Championship. 2024 saw me taking another big step into the GB3 Championship. As the only driver in his maiden single seater season, I am very proud to have finished overall Top-10 and Top-3 rookie of the championship.

In 2025 I made the shift to endurance racing, competing in the Michelin le Mans Cup with R-ace GP. I became MLMC Champion with one round spare to go. Parallel to my endurance racing, I continued to compete in selected races in the GB3 Championship as a development driver for VRD and was able to bring home three podium finishes with a maiden win, 2nd and 3rd place.

My Vision

After winning the RMC Germany Wintercup only a couple of months into my first and only karting season, I entered the Ginetta Junior Championship 2023, becoming Vice Champion. 2024 proved to be another very successful year, completing my maiden GB3 Championship campaign in the overall Top-10 and Top-3 rookie without any single seater experience beforehand.

2025 was my most successful year so far, stepping into endurance racing and winning the overall championship in the Michelin le Mans Cup. Parallel to endurance racing I scored my maiden win in the GB3 championship where I had two further podiums in only a few selected races.

I am very excited to compete in the 2026 European Le Mans Series, shaping my way towards the highest categories of endurance racing.
